Privacy
We only ask for information we need.
This explains how Tech & Talk uses information supplied through workshop bookings, Home Tech Help requests, payments and general enquiries.
Who is responsible
Tech & Talk is operated by Mark Bieganowski in Alwoodley, Leeds. Questions about personal information can be sent to bookings@techandtalk.co.uk or raised by calling 07474 237942.
Workshop bookings
The booking form asks for your name, workshop choice and number of places, plus either an email address or telephone number. You can optionally explain what help you need or anything we should prepare before you arrive.
We use this information to reserve places, calculate the correct price, confirm and administer the booking, take payment where selected, and contact you about that workshop. Booking information is needed to provide the service you request and to keep appropriate business and financial records.
Home Tech Help requests
The home-visit form asks for your name, postcode, devices, description of the help requested and either an email address or telephone number. You can optionally provide preferred times, whether another adult would usually be present, whether you would like a video introduction, and access or practical requirements.
We use this information to assess whether we can provide the requested service safely, confirm the area and likely scope, reply to you and, if you both agree to proceed, administer the appointment. The full home address is requested privately only after the visit has been agreed. Home-visit requests are not added to a marketing list.
General enquiries
The contact form asks for your name, message and either an email address or telephone number so we can reply. The enquiry is sent to the Tech & Talk inbox. It is not added to a marketing list or used to send unrelated advertising.
Payments and email
Stripe processes online card payments. Tech & Talk does not receive or store your complete card details. Resend delivers booking confirmations, payment confirmations, administrative notifications and contact-form messages.
Cloudflare hosts the website, server functions and booking database. These providers process information only as needed to supply their services and maintain security and reliability.
Browser-only tools
If you use Notes, your writing is kept only in your browser and is not received by Tech & Talk. If you choose Remember this booking on this device, the browser stores only the workshop title, date, time, number of places and booking reference. It does not store your name, contact details or private management link. Both tools provide controls to clear their information.
The Tea & Biscuits controls explain optional third-party features such as live chat and maps before they load.
How long information is kept
We keep booking and payment records only for as long as they are needed to administer the workshop, deal with queries or disputes, and meet accounting or other legal obligations. General enquiries are removed when they are no longer needed for the conversation or any resulting service. Browser-only Notes and My Bookings information remains under your control on your device.
Your choices and rights
You can ask what personal information Tech & Talk holds about you and request correction or deletion where the law allows. You may also object to or ask us to restrict certain uses. Contact us using the details above. You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office if you remain concerned about how your information has been handled.
What we will not request
Do not send device passwords, payment-card details or other sensitive login information through the booking or contact forms. Tech & Talk will never ask you to submit those details through this website.
